A couple months ago I bought $100 of Bitcoin and Ethereum, $50 each. The plan was to hold onto it and see how much it could grow.
Excitement befell me as my $100 turned into $118. A great investment, I thought!
Fast-forward to mid-June and the crypto winter. My $100 is now worth about 40 percent of what it was. An article in Sunday’s New York Times indicated that even true Bitcoin believers who would otherwise have been all about investing during a downturn were not “buying the dip.”
And neither am I. While I’m not a true believer, I’m not an inflexible skeptic. I’m watching, waiting and biding my time, trying to continue to learn about the industry until crypto winter turns to spring.
