Howdy, I’m Ryan. I’m a mid-50s Gen Xer from Oklahoma who has spent most of my career in journalism and digital communications.
But I did live in Texas for a while an have always loved the Lone Star State. Heck, at my age, I love something about anywhere I travel. We spent summer vacations in southern Alabama, and we love visiting family in North Carolina and Oregon.
Love New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago. And especially Toronto and London.
I’m a newsie deep in my soul, and I love sports. I’m a lifelong musician, and I’ve written hundreds of songs over the years. My deepest expertise might be American pop music from the 1980s.
While I mostly walk these days, I love to run and play basketball. And tennis. And racquetball, too.
