All 12 of you who read this blog should know that ryanwelton.com is available via RSS so it can come straight to your e-mail. Don’t know why I even mention that.
One of the big differences between this iteration of ryanwelton.com and past iterations is that I’m keeping the writing shorter. I’m all over the place topic-wise, and I’m uninterested in the sole pursuit of page views.
I’m writing what’s on my mind.
At it’s core, this is a site I’ll use to promote music that I write or perform but I haven’t done anything since “Rich Girl,” well, except some practice. A lot of practice, like 30 minutes to an hour minimum each night.
However, a big, big reason I do this is to learn as much as I can about this industry, and by that I mean certain things that have no relation to what I write here. I’m talking Facebook and Twitter, the latter of which I’ve become quite enamored.
How can social media help to promote content or an artist? I’m learning.
Sure, I’m spouting off a hot sports opinion or a political position, but the big difference between years past and now is that I blog not as a provocateur. I’m not sure what I blog “as,” but I blog. Bloggity blog blog.
